Have you ever wondered why so many MMA fighters have a ripped physique? Are you interested in obtaining the same physical traits for yourself?  If so then you have stumbled onto the right place my friend.  Keep on reading if you want to learn about what it takes  to get ripped MMA style!

Burning Body Fat Like A Rocket Burns Jet Fuel…

If you have seen any form of martial arts then you know that these guys and girls move well and can do so for a rather extended amount of time. The truth is that if you compete in any sport you’ve got to be well conditioned and also have a great deal of total body strength. In the sport of MMA this is necessary so that you can explode with a kick, punch, or takedown on your opponent within a fraction of a second.  Fitness is an absolute MUST which is why you can benefit from this type of training knowledge in order to obtain these same traits for yourself.

Having been a strength and conditioning specialist and professional trainer in Atlanta, GA. (Buford) now for over 10 years I can tell you first hand that the style of physical training that I put my MMA fighters through on a regular basis isn’t only great for mobility, strength, and power, but it does wonders for their metabolism. My athletes get shredded because of the various types of stress that I place on them within a given training session. This happens because the level of effort that they produce speeds up their metabolic rate so that they are in a state of fat burning craziness for up to 48 hours post workout!!!

You see the reason that this MMA style of fitness is so effective at giving these guys and girls a raging fast metabolism is because they are very well rounded in terms of their physical conditioning. They must work on strength, cardiovascular conditioning, mobility, and fight specific skills all throughout the designated amount of time that they are preparing for an MMA fight.  Even in their so-called “down time” between competitions they are training with a fairly significant level of intensity.

My Strategies For Getting MMA Fighters Ripped…And You Too If You Want It!!!

1. Strength: Lifting weights, lifting sandbags, lifting kettlebells, and lifting other people are some examples of things that I like to implement in order to help my MMA fighters to get into the best shape possible. Engaging in an intense form of strength training is great for helping with the development of lean muscle mass which is a quick solution for obliterating body fat. This is something that will help you tremendously if you are serious about obtaining a lean physique.

2. Always Conditioning: You see even during the strength training portion of our program we are always in conditioning mode! In addition to this, the fact remains that I still put my fighters through varying forms of conditioning specific drills that involve agility, speed, and plyometrics. These drills are designed to work on the overall quickness and explosiveness of my fighters. In addition to this the drills require a hell of a lot of effort from the athletes which in turn yields some tremendous physical traits such as the significant reduction of body fat!

3. Skill Specific Training (Fight Training): The 3rd and final training element in our  MMA ripped body formula involves the obvious. If you are training in the sport of MMA either to compete or to just be in shape you’ve got to practice your martial arts skills. Whether you train in Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, or both practicing the art form is something that all of my fighters do on a fairly regular basis. Obviously the pros don’t have to spend quite as much time with this portion of the training as they do the other two since their skills are already elite. Even still it is important to maintain some sharpness to ensure a well rounded program which is why I make sure the program is not lacking in this area as well.

This all may sound like a lot, but it can actually be achieved through smart planning in 2 to 3 days a week by only putting in 45 minutes to an hour each training session. If you want to get the physique of an MMA fighter then you’ve got to train like one, period!  Stop wasting time with BS programs and start getting some real butt kicking training done.
