Did You Make 2019 New Year’s Resolutions?

  1. So did you sit down and make a list out of New Year’s Resolutions for 2019? 
  2. Did you sit down a year ago and do the same thing for 2018? 
  3. Are you serious about investing in your self-improvement? 
  4. Do you tend to fall off track when setting goals? 

So 2018 is history and you’ve set some New Year’s Resolutions for 2019. However 2018 has been full of challenges, setbacks, new opportunities, and boom here we are a year later in 2019.

I Don’t Believe In New Year’s Resolutions

I’ve never been one to believe specifically in New Year’s Resolutions.

Why?

Because I personally believe that every single day involves a resolution and a pursuit towards dreams and goals.

I’ve never quite understood why people would “put off” self improvement at the beginning of the new year?

Why not implement self improvement right now?

After all, what is the point in waiting?

The reason the New Year’s Resolution sentiment irritates me personally for the most part is because time is a limiting factor.

Think about it.

Time is a commodity.

Time is the most valuable thing there is and it’s the one thing you absolutely can’t replace.

Unless you happen to have a time machine once you lose time it’s gone…forever.

It takes years for you to accomplish big goals and to develop mastery in different fields.

Physical, mental, and emotional pursuits don’t come overnight.

These things take hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly consistency.

I’ve spent a lifetime training hundreds…thousands of people, I’ve written 2 million words of freely accessible content, devoted my time to help people improve their lives, and have spent a lifetime of study and training to learn and master the human body.

I’m not telling you all of this to pat myself on the back.

Not at all.

I’m telling you because it’s taken a lifetime and had I waited until the new year to do any of this then none of it what have ever happened on the current timeline.

None of these things would’ve been accomplished up to the current point in time that they have had I delayed any of it.

Had I delayed and delayed the start I would’ve missed hundreds probably thousands of opportunities not only to help myself, but to help others in many different ways.

2019 Resolutions

I suppose if I were to make 2019 resolutions then it would involve the following:

  • Continue with pursuing consistent daily goals.
  • Maintain a peak physical condition
  • Help others to make their resolutions daily instead of annually moving forward.
  • To continue daily to do my best to live by example for others concerning the pursuit of fitness.
  • To continue offering free accessible and impactful content and physical training to those that are invested in self-improvement now.
  • To continue to strive to get 1% better daily.

New Year’s Resolutions: The Takeaway

2019 is here whether you want it to be or not.

Are you going to start pursuing your own self-improvement now, or are you going to put it off for another year?

If you are truly serious about kicking ass then you will start now pursuing goals and continue this trend daily. This way when 2020 comes around your goals and pursuits will simply just involve another day that happens to start at the beginning of the year.
