Strength Investments You Can’t Pass Up

In today’s blogisode I’m going to be directing you towards a few strength building resources that you just can’t afford to pass up especially if you are serious about making GAINZZZ! Keep on reading and absorbing and create your own strength building market investment!

Your Strength Portfolio…

So the purpose of today’s post is to inform you of some great products that are out there on the market for you to make an investment in if you are looking at taking your strength and conditioning program to the next level. If you have been following this site for a while then you know I like to keep things simple and that basically I’m just a straight shooter.

There is no BS here and there are no are magical pills when it comes to obtaining strength. There is only your will to bust your ass along with having valuable knowledge and being able to properly apply that knowledge. Check out the list here.

1. Easy Strength

Easy Strength

The truth is strength doesn’t come easy, but that doesn’t mean that the knowledge has to be difficult. This is exactly why I’m throwing Easy Strength straight to the front of the line when it comes to practical application of skill and how to build sound and solid functional strength for most any athletic task. This is one that is well worth sticking into your strength portfolio.

2. The Naked Warrior

The Naked Warrior

I’m a firm believer that every athlete and serious fitness enthusiast should read The Naked Warrior. If you’ve already seen this then it’s worth going back to use as a reference and if you haven’t then go ahead and add this one now! This book (and DVD) features Pavel delivering a comprehensive approach for you to master your own body resistance.

Bodyweight training is one of the best forms of resistance that you can use to acquire serious gains in strength and mobility. The Naked Warrior shows you just how effective this strategy can be for you and how you can transform your body by truly using “your body!”

3. The Encyclopedia Of Underground Strength And Conditioning

How to get stronger and tougher- In the gym and in life - Using the training secrets of the Athletic Elite

A couple weeks back a fellow colleague and online friend of mine strength coach Zach Even-Esh dropped a bombshell of a resource with his new book The Encyclopedia Of Underground Strength And Conditioning. Now I would never mention or recommend a product to you if I didn’t know the quality of that product myself.

However to be up front and honest I have not read Zach’s book yet, but I will tell you right now that Zach is one of the top strength coaches in the game and has an amazing passion and love for what he does. Even though I haven’t gotten around to getting his book yet I have followed Zach and read his site top to bottom. Zach is a very informed, very creative, and a sincerely passionate coach and the reviews for this book are proving to communicate the same thing.

Like I said I wouldn’t be recommending anything to you that I wouldn’t use for myself which is why I will be investing in this book before long. The portfolio of strength is growing my friend.

4. High-Powered Plyometrics

As you know I’m a huge proponent of plyometric training. However there is a significant level of knowledge that you must understand prior to implementing plyometric training in order to implement it safely. Trust me, the last thing you want to do when implementing plyometrics is end up blowing out a joint.

I know this from personal experience from my early days of training. Like strength training in plyometric training there is an intelligent approach to adaptability and this only comes from knowing how to engage in an intelligent and steady progression. High-Powered Plyometrics presents us with this steady progression and this book is a gem when it comes to making those necessary gains in power production.

Being a performance coach over the years I’ve adopted many of the principles from High-Powered Plyometrics to apply to my students and it has served me well. I’ve had athletes that could literally jump 35 to 40 inches off the ground in a standing vertical jump test. This is some serious explosive power.

It’s also worth mentioning that High-Powered Plyometrics was written by James Radcliffe who is also a colleague and happens to be the head strength and conditioning coach for the University of Oregon Ducks football team. It’s worth your investment.

5. The Laws Of Strength Audio

I figured I would offer a small product plug of my own here to close out the list of strength investments. Earlier this week I added another audio to my list of BRF Strength Audios titled The Laws Of Strength.

Like the rest of my BRF Strength Audios I wanted to provide you with some good listening material that would top anything that Justin Bieber could put out on the radio waves. Granted I’m not on the radio, but you can certainly play this on your mobile device or laptop while you’re either waiting in an appointment or on a commute to work.

The Laws Of Strength basically includes the following components:

  • A clear and logical definition of strength
  • The distinct differences between what a workout is and what training for enhanced skill development is in sport or competition.
  • The characteristics of strength and performance.
  • The differences in training energy systems as it pertains to your goals.
  • What Hybrid training is all about.

The audios are also being offered at a very big rate cut discount right now so it’s a great time to take advantage of it.

So I hope you enjoyed today’s post on strength investments! If you have any questions or comments concerning any of the products I’ve outlined here just drop me a comment in the box below. Also please share these out with your family and friends as I’m sure they would appreciate the thought. Keep training smart.
