There are so many days that go by where I hear people talking about getting in their “cardio” on the ‘ole treadmill, or by going out to take a nice stroll around the block. Don’t get me wrong this type of physical activity is fantastic and is certainly better than being stagnant. I’m NOT belittling that type of activity at all and if you know me well enough by now then you know that I’m being honest when I say that.

A few things come to mind when I look at athletes such as Brock and others that I have had the fortunate opportunity to train and that is commitment, planning, and  performance.

Let’s face it, no matter the sport you compete in if you can outperform the other guy then you stand a greater chance of winning. I know I sound like Captain Obvious by saying that, but the point is that you can train, but do you train with purpose? To figure out which combo meal you’ve been ordering keep on reading.

Self Reliant Strength…

Self Reliant Strength…

“When you take stuff from one writer it’s plagiarism; but when you take it from many writers, it’s research.”

Now that quote is certainly a scary, funny, and interesting statement all at the same time. I mean if you really think about it not too many ideas are completely original, but instead are variations of other ideas that people have stamped with their own thoughts and creativity. That in and of itself though does make it an original thought. Ideas are great because they make the world go round, but at the end of the day you’ve got to be willing to come up with your own even if you got the idea from something that others have presented before you. So what does this have to do with strength? Keep on reading to find out.
