Over the years I have always been more interested in building the legs by either squatting or deadlifting in my strength training program. Now some of you would argue that deadlifting is more for building “the back,” and I would agree with you, but right here you’re wrong and I’m right because I’m the one writing the post! Geez, I must be grumpy today. I’m just saying that I prefer these strength training tactics to the most epic fail in leg training history being that of the ‘ole leg press. So why am I so set against this machine when talking about trying to metamorphosize from Joe Regular into the THIGH HULK. Well that’s why I decided to tackle this in the following post. So the one thing I see today more than FREAKING ever is the prevalence of distractions! Yes, distractions are everywhere and people fall victim to them all the time. I mean for crying out loud we can’t even entrust a harmless cell phone in the hands of teenagers anymore. I mean leave it to today’s society in lacking common sense for people to in some way transform a cell phone into a killing device. Now all the sudden there are laws made to enforce penalties from the act of texting and driving. Distractions are restrictions people!

Another Student X: The Way Men’s Fitness Should Be…

X marks the spot again big guy! As you may know I did a profile concerning Student X for the ladies and now it’s time to do one for us guys on men’s fitness. Once again inquiring minds want to know about what goes on inside my head when looking at a new or potential trainee. In the last blogisode I made up a profile called Student X to demonstrate some common issues that I encounter with folks when getting them started back on track with getting in shape.

The reason I’m doing this is to drive home the point that health clubs make my head want to explode, but I guess if folks are doing something it is better than doing nothing at all. I guess what I’m trying to say is that if folks are exercising that is a great thing, however the point of Student X is to show how folks more often than not end up doing harm to their body by not understanding how the body functions. The names and identities have been changed in this blogisode to protect the innocent from feeling too stupid. Um anyways read and enjoy!
